I bake everything myself, to order, in my own kitchen. I make preserves in small batches, using seasonal fruit and vegetables, organic and locally grown if possible. I use only the finest ingredients, organic wherever possible, in my cakes; like the dark organic chocolate and cocoa in my chocolate cakes, and brownies, and organic, unrefined cane sugar. For my rich fruit cakes, I use Lübecker organic marzipan. It's lightly sweetened, made with 52% organic almonds. That's a higher almond to sugar ratio than any other marzipan you can buy – simply the best marzipan in the world. I don’t use artificial additives or flavours; just good, wholesome ingredients. So I hope you’ll try one of my cakes and taste the difference for yourself! And I can cater for most food allergies: if you have any other dietary requirements, do let me know. |

How it all started ...I grew up in Jamaica, and came to London to study art. With my BA in Graphic Design from London College of Printing, I worked in publishing for 20 years, as a book & magazine designer. I took a break when my second son was born, and what started as something to do while I was at home with him turned into this little micro-business. For years, my husband had struggled with so-called 'IBS'. A friend suggested he should try cutting wheat and gluten out of his diet – and his symptoms improved dramatically. Since then, I’ve worked hard on ways of creating delicious cakes we can all enjoy. I’ve developed my own special blend of gluten-free flours, and I’m very happy with it. All my cakes are made with wheat-free, gluten-free ingredients. They have a fine texture and are light and delicate in the mouth; in fact, I think they taste a whole lot better than cakes made with wheat. | ||

Delivery & postageMany of my cakes, and all my preserves, can be posted to addresses in the UK (delivered by Royal Mail Signed For or Special Delivery, or Parcel Force) or abroad. And I can arrange delivery by hand in London (£5.00 – £40.00 depending on location). Or you can collect your order from me in SW9, by arrangement. Please call me so we can discuss what you need. | ||

Looking after the environmentI'm committed to greening the planet, reducing emissions, and reducing plastic use by: • using organic, locally-grown ingredients wherever possible • decorating my cakes with organic flowers whenever possible, grown in the UK, not flown • using plastic-free cakeboards and cake boxes • using biodegradable cellophane bags for my Spiced Nuts and loaf cakes • wrapping my fruit cakes in baking paper and foil, not clingfilm • packaging my Xmas Cakes in bright tissue paper, not plastic • using recyclable cardboard cartons when sending cakes by post • and using compostable, plant-based packing pellets • delivering cakes by hand, bicycle or public transport, wherever possible • sending food waste from my cake-making to my own compost, or food-waste bin | ||
