Absolutely thrilled to have won two Great Taste stars for this gorgeous cake! The judges said: Made with organic ingredients, including Fairtrade cocoa powder, extra-virgin olive oil, ground almonds and Madagascar vanilla, this cake was also commended at the FreeFrom Food Awards. The judges said it was: ‘We loved the flavour, especially the powerful almond. It's not too sweet at all and very rich with a nice bitterness ... a most attractive, dark, squidgy looking cake with a very good hit of cocoa, and you also get the almonds. The sweetness is exactly right because you can taste all the ingredients. Would taste delicious with a big dollop of crème fraiche and some raspberries.'
